3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 Pine Street, Suite 701, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. When you visit our website, Vercel may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited for the purpose of ensuring security and performance. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of this website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). As Vercel is based in the USA, this involves a transfer of data to a third country; Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection. For more information, see Vercel's Privacy Policy.

4. Contact Form

When you submit our contact form, we process the information you provide, including your name, email address, organisation, and message. We use Formspree Inc. (formspree.io) as a service provider to process your submission and forward it to us by email. Formspree may store this data on servers in the USA; this transfer is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR).

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, where your enquiry involves taking steps prior to a potential business engagement, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). We use your data exclusively to process and respond to your enquiry. For more information, see Formspree's Privacy Policy.

5. Retention of Contact Form Data

We retain personal data from contact enquiries only for as long as necessary to process and respond to the enquiry and, where applicable, to establish or maintain a business relationship. If an enquiry does not lead to an ongoing business relationship, we generally delete the data once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims require longer retention. Data stored by Formspree may be subject to Formspree's own retention periods; please refer to their documentation for details.

6. Local Storage

This website does not use cookies. When you switch between the English and German versions of this site, your language preference is saved in your browser's local storage so it is remembered on your next visit. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us or any third party, and is not used for tracking, analytics, or advertising. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing. Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, please contact us via the email address provided in the Imprint.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Germany, this is the relevant state data protection supervisory authority (Landesbeauftragte(r) für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit) of your place of residence.
